Mike’s Hot Honey is defined entirely by the collision of two distinct ingredients: pure sweetness and raw heat. Instead of explaining the flavor profile with a clever headline, I decided to show it. The goal was to create a visual shorthand for the brand that was instantly recognizable from a moving vehicle.
I designed a minimalistic billboard that merges the product's two core elements into a single, cohesive object. By manipulating the hyper-realistic texture of viscous honey into the iconic silhouette of a chili pepper, the billboard communicates the entire brand’s promise in a fraction of a second. Generous white space and minimal branding project the boldness that the product promises.
